Liability Insurance Requirements

Pursuant to Chapter 429.11(2), F.S., assisted living facility license applicants shall provide proof of liability insurance as part of the application process. In addition, licensed assisted living facilities are required to maintain liability coverage at all times. Failure to maintain liability insurance coverage may result in a revocation of the facility’s license. For assistance with liability insurance, please consult with one of the assisted living facility associations or contact the Office of Insurance Regulation at the Department of Financial Services.
